The EIA reported a draw of 11,473 MBbls in U.S. crude-oil inventories. The draw was larger than the average estimate of -2,500 MBbls as reported by Bloomberg.
Inventories for the U.S. are now at a deficit of 36.90 MMBbls (-8.1%) to last year, and a deficit of 48.10 MMBbls (-10.3%) to the five-year average.
