Position: Vice President of Business Development
This role will focus on communicating AEGIS’ technology and advisory solutions to prospective
customers to drive top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition and profitability. In this role, you will
be responsible for diagnosing and understanding prospect needs, communicating a high level understating of our CTRM capabilities meet with potential clients, and work with them to create customized solutions to meet the prospect’s respective needs. Our team thrives in a consultative style of selling, using questions to understand prospect needs first before talking about our solution.
In addition, you are to fully understand key vertical terminology and industry trends as well as coach and collaborate with other sales team members.
Responsibilities
- Generate leads through phone, email, networking and industry contracts
- Present, promote and sell our CTRM software powered by our team of analytical experts by using our proven selling techniques to prospective customers
- Based on prospect needs analysis, align service offering, pricing approach and pitch to customer’s needs
- Work with the marketing team to develop specific campaigns for your industry vertical
- Manage monthly goals: activity, pipeline, forecasted opportunities, and revenue targets
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within designated time period
- Liaise with customers and team members on all functional phases of the sales process
- Work with your vertical and technical teams to create call plans to organize our sales strategy for key prospect meetings and demos
- Analyze your industry vertical, target market potential, track sales and provide status reports through the HubSpot CRM
- Provide accurate reporting on sales activity and forecasting to senior sales management and executive team members on market feedback (needs, challenges, interests, competitive activities)
- Maintain leading practices, market trends and share experiences
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Keep management informed by entering sales activity and key data fields within HubSpot
- Prepare results reports, such as call plans, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual vertical analyses as needed
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new services, etc.
- Respond to RFI/RFP/RFQ, as needed
- Assist in the delivery of product demonstrations and delivery of customer pitches and company overviews
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops internally and externally, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a sales professional and more specifically, ETRM/CTRM sales
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Familiarity with HubSpot and CRM best practices
- Smart problem solver and ability to quickly grasp prospect requirements
- Ability to build productive business professional relationships
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally with other departmental stakeholders
- Excellent presentation and executive engagement skills
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to close new business
- Knowledge of SaaS landscape
- BS/BA degree or equivalent
- Experience with SPIN Selling or Challenger Sales methodologies a plus.
