    • (Bloomberg) – Copper prices have surged due to the risk that Donald Trump will impose tariffs on the metal, but bulls are growing wary that prices could crash if he doesn't follow through. Analysts warn that the tariff trade has created a bubble in the market that could soon burst if tariffs are ruled out, with prices potentially crashing toward $10,000 a ton. The spread between copper futures on New York's Comex and the London Metal Exchange has collapsed in recent weeks, as traders grow increasingly willing to bet against tariffs, which could have major consequences for the market.
  • CME HRC Steel last traded at $1285 and $0 lower at 10/16/2026
