    • (Bloomberg) – Copper has been on a record-breaking tear in the past year, driven largely by tariff-related trade flows, with bullish investors betting that flatlining mine supply will drive prices even higher. A string of disappointing results is undermining expectations that global mine supply would post at least modest growth this year, with major producers posting double-digit declines and Morgan Stanley seeing mine supply as little changed or slightly lower. The difficulties miners face in boosting output are due to deteriorating ore quality, accidents, project setbacks, and extreme weather, fueling concerns about whether supply can keep pace with demand as electrification gathers pace over the coming years.
  • CME HRC Steel last traded at $1225 and $2 higher at 8:47:03 AM
