Mike Taylor

Mike joined AEGIS in 2021 as part of the Emission Advisors acquisition. He brings over two decades of experience in carbon and environmental credit trading. As Founder and CEO of Emission Advisors, Mike provided tailored advisory and brokerages solutions in the California and RGGI carbon markets, voluntary carbon, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), Emission Reduction Credits (ERCs), Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) programs, Renewable Identification Number (RINs), and Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) programs.

While leading the Emission Advisors team, Emission Advisors was awarded Emissions House of the Year in 2019 by Energy Risk Magazine and named in the Inc 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Company List in 2020. Mike has transacted over a billion dollars of environmental credits throughout his career. He previously was an Emissions Trader with Louis Dreyfus Energy Services and managed NRG’s 20,000 MW Power Fleet compliance.

Mike was appointed in September 2022 to serve as a representative Associate Member of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (Commission) Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Committee (EEMAC). He previously held board positions with the Gulf Coast Chapter of A&WMA and the Environmental Markets Association. Additionally, he is an Amazon #1 Best Selling Author of “Reduce Carbon Compliance Costs.” Mike graduated summa cum laude with a Finance degree from Louisiana State University.

Outside of the office, Mike enjoys hiking, skiing, and golfing with his wife and their three children.
