Ryan Vaile

Ryan serves as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development and sits on the executive team within AEGIS. With over 25 years of experience in risk management, finance, and energy, Ryan works with AEGIS customers, prospects and its executive team to assess new market entry, corporate partnerships, and potential acquisitions.  Prior to joining AEGIS, Ryan spent ten years as a Partner with Phoenician Resources, a private equity fund focused on aggregating, operating and developing proven oil and gas assets where his responsibility was to identify acquisition opportunities and maintain and extend their external sourcing network while drawing upon his relationships with operators, financial counterparties and intermediaries he developed over his career in the oil and gas industry. 

Prior to Phoenician, Ryan worked for Marathon Financial Group (MFG.)  MFG was a registered broker/dealer where Ryan’s role included compliance, acting as principal and agent for conventional and unconventional upstream investments in the energy sector.  Prior to joining MFG, Ryan was Vice President of Sales at Icon Identity Solutions where he participated in an organizational restructuring, redesign and ultimate sale of the company. Prior to Icon, Mr. Vaile was Vice President of Aon Corporation partnering with C-level executives in the Private Equity, Healthcare and Construction industries to identify risk and develop customized risk management strategies.  Ryan received a B.B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

When Ryan isn’t traveling for work, he’s home chasing around his three young children and manages to sneak in a round of golf or two while trying to keep his game sharp enough to compete in various USGA events across the country.  Ryan is an active member of his community and previously sat on various boards/committees for organizations including, The Boys and Girls Club, Chicago MetroSquash and Northwestern Memorial’s Lurie Childrens Hospital.
