What is the best thing about being a CFO?

What is the most challenging aspect of being a CFO?
“The most challenging aspect of being a CFO is managing cross-functional collaboration, bringing together diverse perspectives to drive aligned decisions, often with limited resources. It’s a constant balance of staying lean while still effectively supporting multiple departments.”

What’s one thing you’ve accomplished in your career so far that you’re most proud of?
“I’m most proud of leading multiple acquisition integrations during a pivotal chapter in my life, becoming a first-time mom and shortly after, welcoming my second child. Balancing complex, high-stakes professional milestones while stepping into motherhood taught me to lead with both clarity and compassion. For other women early in their careers: You can pursue leadership and build a family.”

Do you have any wisdom for people who aspire to be a CFO?
“To become a great CFO, immerse yourself in the business, don’t just observe it from the finance desk. Rolling up your sleeves and understanding operations firsthand accelerates your learning and earns the trust of those around you. Balance your mastery of data with an equal focus on people. The most effective CFOs act as the strategic connective tissue across the organization, bringing clarity, aligning teams and anchoring decisions in purpose. And above all, never stop learning.”
