EIA reported a build of 15 Bcf for the week ending 8/21/2026. This was equal to the median estimate of 15 Bcf. Today's stat fell within the expected range, which was 23 Bcf on the more bearish end, and 9 Bcf on the more bullish end.
Inventories for the US are now at a deficit of 30 Bcf to last year and a surplus of 167 Bcf to the five-year average.
